Overview
The VIDERO Composer is responsible for the creation and administration of Digital Signage content. It can be understood as a hub, that combines different media data into beautiful or exciting compositions.
Comparable to Adobe Illustrator or Adobe InDesign, the VIDERO Composer lets you take multiple media and edit or combine them. Cropping and editing Video, rotating images, setting background colors, adding sound, text, Flash, spicing everything up through animations, or defining the order of playlists: The VIDERO Composer is the multitool for beautiful compositions.
Every VIDERO Player also contains the VIDERO Composer application. As soon as one starts a VIDERO Player instance, the VIDERO Composer is readily available via the web interface. This makes it easy, e.g. for small business owners, to only use one device for creation and playback of content. In addition to that, content mistakes on public systems can easily be edited without the overhead of managing, creating and distributing updated revisions. Thus, despite the fact that the VIDERO Composer is a stand alone product, it also is a part of every VIDERO Player.
User Interface: Unlike other solutions, we integrated many modern design philosophies into the VIDERO GUI. Working with VIDERO resembles to a certain degree the way how other design applications work: Media elements can be put on layers, rearranged, cropped or rotated. Even while one is creating a presentation, one can always see that which will later be visible on screen. Our Composer offers modern, functional tools, a direct preview, and 'you can always see what you get'.
Tools: Every media element in VIDERO can be edited by our set of core tools, which allow for flexibility and easy modifications. Every element (including live WebSites or Adobe Flash) can be moved, rotated or cropped. For every element we implemented ways of modifying the time behavior for actions like appearance or disappearance.
Everything Visible: For us, one of the most important parts in the VIDERO Interface is the idea of a general preview. Every view in the application displays preview pictures. This means, that it is easy to spot entries which still need to be worked on, or just get a feeling for the contents of a presentation.
Media Support: Since our VIDERO Player supports the playback of such a broad range of media, we integrated a full scale media management function into the VIDERO Composer. Using this function, it is easy to browse existing content, add new content or search for specific content. And every file is displayed with a beautiful preview of its contents.
Effects: VIDERO can add special effects to media elements. Examples of such effects are Fade-In / Fade-Out, Move-In / Move-Out animations, Image-Filters, such as Blur, Sharpen or Defocus, or opacity, shadow or simply adding a colored border to an element.
Options: Every media element has its own special attributes. Adding a Flash movie instead of adding a moving text results in different attributes visible in the interface. Using this approach, we are able to give our users a detailed range of options for modifying attributes specific to certain media formats only. Examples would be text speed, color, background-color for the moving text element, or touch accessibility for website elements.
Scheduling: Every VIDERO Composer contains a detailed scheduling facility which provides the basic toolset to create sophisticated time-based schedules for content. Be it simply special content which can only run at lunch, or highly detailed programs that structure the playback over a whole week in great detail; the VIDERO Composer is up to it.
