History
VIDERO started in 1996 with the creation of the Netside GmbH, a small software development facility, determined to high quality custom software for business and eCommerce and WebDesign. We managed to survive the crash of the Dot.Com bubble and since prospered in specialized content management software solutions. From 2003 on, we extended the content management on to video & multimedia content management, and headed more and more into the digital signage domain. In 2006 then, VIDERO was created as a separate company to take care of the growing market of Digital Signage.
So, albeit our company, the VIDERO AG, was established only in 2006, much of the initial ideas, technologies and especially know-how came through the online eCommerce experience of the latter Netside GmbH upon which VIDERO was based. We have 30 employees broadly consisting out of software engineers for R&D, sales / marketing staff, and customer service.
We lay high importance in the Research & Development. Digital Signage is a fast and growing market. And thus it is necessary to keep steady innovation. We‘re always playing around with new and exciting technologies, building prototypes and investigating future research directions.
Our main product is the VIDERO Signage 3 software solution. It consists out of three major modules, VIDERO Player, VIDERO Composer, and VIDERO Server, and several add-on modules, as solution for specific problems.
The software has been developed for Mac OS X and has then been ported to Windows and Linux. Already, we have more than 600 systems in use with customers ranging from small retail stores to large museums. Our references range from big clients like the Porsche AG and Mercedes Benz to medium clients like the „Sparkasse Köln/Bonn“ or the ,Engbers‘ apparel chain. In addition to that we have many small business customers deploying just one or two systems.
